Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 30, 2026
Who we are
BuiltAG ("we", "us") operates the website builtag.com. You can reach us atsupport@builtag.com. This policy explains what information we and our third-party partners collect when you visit this site, and what choices you have.
What we collect directly
Deliberately very little. BuiltAG has no user accounts, no comment system, and no newsletter sign-up form that stores your email. If you email us, we keep your message and email address as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards for reference. We do not sell personal information, ever.
Server logs
Like virtually every website, our hosting provider records standard server log data when you visit: your IP address (or a truncated form of it), browser type and version, referring page, the pages you request, and timestamps. This data is used to keep the site running and diagnose problems. It is not used to build profiles for marketing purposes by us.
Advertising and third-party cookies
BuiltAG displays advertising served by Google AdSense. This is the most important section of this policy, so read it carefully.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies (such as the DoubleClick DART cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visitingGoogle Ads Settings.
- You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising ataboutads.info/choicesoroptout.networkadvertising.org.
Where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland), advertising cookies are only set after you give consent through a consent management mechanism, and you can withdraw that consent at any time. We do not control the cookies third parties set; each provider's own privacy policy governs its data handling.
Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand which articles are read and how people find the site — for example, page-view counts that are not linked to an identifiable individual. If we add a measurement tool that sets cookies, we will update this policy to say so before it goes live.
Your rights under the GDPR (European Economic Area, UK)
If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right, under the General Data Protection Regulation, to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Have inaccurate data corrected;
- Have your data erased ("right to be forgotten");
- Restrict or object to processing, including processing for direct marketing;
- Data portability, where applicable;
- Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
Since we collect almost nothing directly, exercising these rights usually means emailing us at support@builtag.com and us deleting your correspondence. For data held by advertising partners, use their opt-out tools linked above — we have no access to their systems.
Your rights under the CCPA/CPRA (California)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to:
- Know what personal information is collected about you and how it is used;
- Request deletion of your personal information;
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. However, the use of advertising cookies by third-party partners may be considered "sharing" under California law; you can opt out through the cookie consent mechanism and the vendor links above.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
Requests go to support@builtag.com. We respond within the timeframes the law requires.
Children's privacy
BuiltAG is written for business operators and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Do Not Track
Our site honors Do Not Track for our own first-party behavior (we don't do any cross-site tracking ourselves). Third-party advertising networks' handling of DNT signals varies; see their policies.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when our practices change and note the "last updated" date above. Material changes — for example, adding a new analytics tool — will be flagged more prominently.
